AUSTRIA THE BIRTHPLACE OF SKI!!!

Austria was the first European country that took advantage of the mountain slopes and developed tourism in these areas. The moving spirit of alpine ski anyhow was Mathias Zdaerky who established with a manual in 1896 the basics of the Austrian tradition ski.
It is widely known that Austria offers beautiful villages and is ideal for those looking for more during their winter vacation and not only snow covered slopes.

Kitzbuehel is like the village described in children's fairy tales.
Although its history goes back to medieval period, today the fame of its beauty and charm has reached ecery corner of the universe. It is located among Kirchberg, Jochberg and Mittersil, well known villages as well, just 80km away from Salzburg. Unique atmospere and rythm of life of another era.
Tirolean architecture remains unspoilt as time passes by. Colorful, picturesque buildings, small stores, small streets paved with slabs, traditional restaurants, luxury hotels, cafe, even a casino challenge the visitor to explore it.
Skiing in the Kitzbuehel ski area featuring some 145 km of slopes and 55 state-of-the-art gondolas and lifts.
Action-filled snowboarding fun at snowboard parks. 120 km of cross-country skiing tracks. 170 km of winter hiking trails. Kitzbuehel sports park with curling training center, ice hall and SALEWA climbing hall.

Regarding accommodation there are many luxury and 4* hotels you can stay and feel great. We recommend Schloss Lebenberg 5*, Sporthotel Reisch 4* sup.,and Hotel Swartzer Adler 4* as the best value for money solutions.

Have a nice trip!!!
