One of the most beautiful trips in Italy is travelling from Milan to Como & Lago Maggiore!!!
Como is a small Italian town based just 3 km. from Swiss borders. Como is situated in the exclusive area of Lago Como.

Near Como is Lago Maggiore and the beautiful Lugano. In Lugano you can visit the market and taste delightful sweets and chocolates from traditional pastries. We recommend to drive with your car and explore all the villages around lago Maggiore. Do not forget to visit the old casino of the town.
Locarno is situated 25 km away from Lugano. It is a small beautiful town with ski pistes and traditional villas. The town is famous due to the film festival that takes place every year during summer at "piazza grande".
For shopping therapy you must visit Mendrisio, about 9 km. from Como. Fox Town is a Faxtory Outlet where you can buy famous brands with super prices and pay with swiss francs. You need many hours of your time because the outlet is huge and the bargains are too many.

Regarding lunch, Como is the Paradise of Trattorias, Restaurants and Pizzerias!!!
You can eat everywhere spending few euros for delightful italian dishes. The wine lists are rich and not expensive, in order to drink the right wine with your menu.
